Creating a bootable USB with Rufus (MBR + BIOS)
To create a bootable USB with Rufus, follow these steps:
- Start the computer and press F2 to enter the BIOS.
- Go to the Exit tab and restore to default settings (Load Default Settings).
- In the Security tab, clear the Intel PTT Key.
Make sure the following settings are correct:
- Boot tab
Boot Mode: Legacy Support
Boot Priority: Legacy First
- Exit tab
OS Optimized Defaults: Disabled
Then press F10 to save and exit.
Insert the USB drive, start the computer and press F12 to boot from USB. You can now install the operating system.
